Beschrijving

The cemetery was built and is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC). The architect who designed it is Louis De Soissons. 415 soldiers - mostly twenty-year-olds - from territories of the British Commonwealth are resting, 14 of which are unidentified, who died during the Second World War (1939-1945). Each individual headstone, in white marble, is engraved in the upper part with the national emblem or the coat of arms of the department or regiment, followed by the rank, name, serial number, date of death and age, while, in the lower part, a chosen phrase by relatives.
